Teesside Dementia Link Services

Teesside Dementia Link Services is a charity based in the Tees Valley that aims to provide support to dementia sufferers and their carers, through support groups, activities and social events.

During this lockdown period we have not closed our doors. 

Services are still running in a slighty different form. Clients can still be visited and contact us as much as they want.  We will continue to support you for as much and as long as you need.

Carer Contact Line - Providing advice, information and a listing ear to carers, people with Dementia. Support is also available online through our Facebook page.

Practical Support - Shopping, prescription collecting, organising support from other agencies.

Hot Food Delivery (Fridays) - Fish and chips from a local outlet (only 10 clients per week on rotation) offered only to the most vulnerable.

Crafting/Activity Packs - Free packs containing at least 3 small easy to make crafts.

Welfare Packs - Free packs tailored to what clients like - including flowers, chocolate, magazines, cheese, kippers, home baked goods and more.

Cinema Club at the Arc - This has restarted once a month. We also offer a free DVD lending service, please contact us for details.

Social Outings - Organised meetings with food at an outdoor venue, following social distancing guidelines. Events are invitation only and not advertised in advance.

Homes Visits - These are carried out on the clients premises, i.e. garden or open space on their property. Each slot is for 2 hours.

Resumption of Normal Services - our normal services will resume in November if Government allows.
