Daisy Chain

Daisy Chain was established in 2003 as the dream of its founder who's son was diagnosed with autism at any early age, and became aware of the problems faced by parents and carers of children on the autistic spectrum.
Daisy Chain provides a wide range of services from our five and a half acre site in Norton, offering a welcoming, supportive and attractive environment where parents, children and young people with autism and their siblings, can seek support and have fun.
Our site includes a host of facilities, plus an array of different activities, events and support services, these include:
- A day centre
- A farm
- Gardens and allotments
- A sensory play area
- High need activity days
- Neurodevelopmental child and family support
- Saturday activity days
- Social clubs and youth groups
- Mother and toddler group

Activity Days
We hold Activity Days on Saturdays and additional Thursdays during the school holidays. Families can enjoy our soft play, outdoor play area, visit the animals on the farm and the sensory room. Planned activities include crafts, cooking, gardening, animal activities, soft play, computers, music, Wii and much more. Numbers are limited to ensure we can stay Autism friendly, therefore booking is required- simply call us on 01642 531248 the Monday of the week you wish to attend. Cost £8 for first child and £4 for each additional child.
High Needs Activity Days
3rd Sunday of every month 11am-2pm. As above, relaxed family session for children who are unable to access our Saturday activity days due to their specific needs and the structure of the sessions. Numbers are limited further to ensure a very quiet session. Booking required, please call in advance. Cost £8 for first child and £4 for each additional child.
Links
‘Links’ is our parent/carer support group and meets each Thursday between 10-12 during term time and monthly on Wednesday evenings between 6-7:30. The weekly programme is varied, with interesting speakers and an opportunity for an informal chat with other parents and carers. Booking is not required. A crèche is available and costs £5 for the first child and £2 for subsequent children. It is essential to pre-book a place in the crèche.
Social Clubs
Daisy Chain runs a number of social groups and ‘Chill and Chat’ youth clubs for children and young people with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. These take place fortnightly after school. Places are limited and must be booked. Prices vary. Please call for more information.
Daisy Chain also runs holiday short break sessions for children aged 3-7, 8-11 and 12-17 with a diagnosis of Autism, these run in line with Stockton Borough Council school holidays. Prices vary and booking is essential.
A fortnightly sibling group (Sibz) runs for young people aged 8-16. Places are limited and must be booked. Please call for more information.
Toddlers/Early Years
A special needs Toddler Group runs each Wednesday mornings during term time, between 9:30-11:30. Cost £5 per family. Booking is not required.
Holiday soft play sessions for children with autism and additional needs must be booked. These are usually on a Monday in the school holidays. Parents/carers are required to supervise and siblings may attend. Cost £6 for the first child and £3 for each additional child.

Advice, support and guidance is available, by appointment, with a member of the Care Team.
