Stroke Association - Information Advice and Support
Information Advice and Support is based at University Hospital North Tees offering a home visiting service to support anyone who has suffered a stroke and their carer/family.
Anyone can refer someone who has had a stroke and is due for or has been discharged from hospital to receive support, advice and assistance on a range of subjects including benefits, secondary prevention, emotional support and general advice and information on a wide range of issues in respect of their stroke.
The co-ordinator will arrange to call to see you at a mutually convenient time.
The co-ordinator also helps to run a Stroke Drop In club which runs every Wednesday from 1pm until 3pm at the Stockton Independent Living Centre, Tithe Barn House, Hardwick Road, Stockton. At the club we do chair based exercises and other activities supported by a multi-disciplinary team including physiotherapist, speech therapist and occupational therapist.
For more information or to refer someone please contact Trevor Newlove on 01642 679018 or e mail on firstname.lastname@example.org
