The Barn Childcare - Fairfield

The Barn Childcare operates within the Elmwood Community Centre in Hartburn providing high quality childcare from birth.  The setting consists of 4 spacious rooms full of high quality 'natural' resources and a sensory room.

In addition to this is a secure garden complete with a mini-beasts motel, sheltered sandpit, mud kitchen, musical corner, chill-out/reading shed, and a fire pit   We follow the Scandinavian ethos of forest schooling so the children spend most of their time outdoors in the fresh air whatever the weather.  ‘The Barn’ offers a unique experience with outstanding facilities and staff, focusing on child initiated learning.

The Barn is owned and managed by a highly qualified practitioner with over 22 years’ experience in childcare as a level 4 in Autism and Complex needs and a level 4 in children's mental health and wellbeing.  The 12 additional members of staff are all qualified to or working towards a minimum of Level 3 with additional training in speech and language and special educational needs.

We also have a designated member of staff who delivers yoga, mindfulness sessions and speech and lang interventions.
