Special iApps C.I.C.

Special iApps is a social enterprise who develop educational apps for children with special educational needs, including autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, hearing impairment and other learning disabilities.
All our apps have a simple, uncluttered design, don't have adverts or tracking, and can be configured and personalised to suit any child. They’re ideal to teach children at school, during speech therapy sessions, to support remote learning at home, or to support essential skills in daily life.
Each app has adjustable settings, allowing you to change the activities to suit any level of ability and age. Our literacy apps; Special Words, Special Spelling, Special Stories and Special Sentences allow you to add your own photos, text and audio to fully personalise learning to individual needs, learning styles and to follow curriculum work. These personalisations are a great way to concentrate on an area of a child's learning and development.
Special Words: An invaluable app for visual learners to promote language and communication, word, picture and sound recognition, speech and sight-reading. The app has been translated into 27 languages, making it a great app to support bilingual and multilingual children. We also have a Pro version of this app which offers you everything from the standard edition plus printing, assessment sheets, dual control and free curriculum resources.
Special Spelling: Help children to become confident with spelling with a range of activities to teach spelling patterns, letter sounds, understanding vowels and much more.
Special Stories: Create your own social stories all fully personalised with your own photos, text and audio. A great tool for home-school communication and Educational Health Care Plans.
Special Sentences: Support emerging readers by encouraging sentence building, comprehension, and confidence in reading.
Special Numbers: Develop vital early number skills such as counting, matching, ordering and comparing, with activities easily adaptable for all abilities
Match & Find: Help children train and improve children's auditory and visual working memory, as well as developing language and fine motor skills.
