Health Visiting Team Stockton

Health visitors can help make sure that your child has the best start in life and what help is available to you from the birth of your child up to four years old.

Health visitors can give you support, discuss any concerns you might have and offer you advice and where to find help if you need it and put you in touch with groups where you can meet other parents. Any time you feel you need some extra support you can call your health visitor.

Health visitors are based either in Family Hubs or Health Centres in Billingham, Stockton and Thornaby.

Please visit the Health Visitors page on the NHS website for more information about the service they provide.

Local Offer

We offer all children the universal pathway that includes an in-depth child core assessment, which gives a holistic oversight of the family enabling identification of additional needs for the family or child, that may impact on their wellbeing, health and development.

The health visiting team consits of admin support, community nursery nurses and health visitors who offer a complementary skill mix within the team.

Health visitors can be the first point of contact for families who have concerns about their child's health and development and therefore make the initial referrals to address concerns to allied professionals.
