Malleable Disco - Creative Support
The Malleable Discos is a weekly inclusive social evening hosted by Creative Support, in Stockton on Wednesday evenings, 6.30pm—9pm. The discos are open to adults (18+) with a learning disability, Autism or any other support or social inclusion need. The disco plays a variety of music from classics up to current chart music. The disco takes place in the Malleable social club, the bar is open selling alcoholic and soft drinks and therefore attendeees must be over the age of 18. The DJ’s are all attendees who volunteer on a rota basis. Throughout the year there are theme nights and party nights where local bands or tribute acts play.
The Discos are run voluntarily and are not contracted services through the Local Authorities. They are social evenings organised by Creative Support to provide a space for people to socialise. Individuals can attend independently or with support. Individual support is not offered to people attending the discos from the Disco Team. The Disco Staff Team are there to facilitate the evenings, alongside a team of helper attendees, who plan and organise the events. The Disco Team are DBS checked and first aid trained.
