Local Offer
- Description
Busy Bees Ingleby Barwick offers a facility where every child can grow at their own pace, and with support from a caring professional nursery team they are encouraged to reach their own potential. The nursery offers an environment that is safe, secure and stimulating, both indoors and outdoors. Children can explore different activities that can enhance their own individual development. Learning is fun at Busy Bees, all children take part in activities and have hands on experiences, so that they become confident independent learners in their own right.
We recognise that some children have special educational needs / disabilities and welcome them into our nursery. With partnership with parents we will support children in the setting so that your child feels valued and included.
Objectives of Busy Bees Ingleby Barwick SEND offer
- To provide a differentiated curriculum appropriate to the individual child’s interests, needs and abilities.
- To ensure that SEND children take part in all activities that the nursery has to offer.
- To liaise with outside agencies in order to access further advice and specialist support.
- To work in partnership with parents and keep them informed of their child’s progress that is unique to their child’s progress and development. To support the child with their next steps whilst at nursery and support transitions to school.
- To identify early SEND, through observations, assessments and discussions with parents / carers.
Provision for SEND children
Nursery staff at Busy Bees Ingleby Barwick, have a wealth of experience working with a number of children with special educational needs / disabilities. The nursery has a SENCO that has been through Local Authority training for supporting children with SEND and also has had specific company SENCO training on Equality and Inclusion policy and procedures. The SENCO works closely with the child’s key person, parents and with permission form parents outside agencies to gain further advice in supporting each child individually. In order to provide a differentiated curriculum, that is appropriate; the SENCO will work with parents / carers, key person and outside agencies to produce a Personal Inclusion Plan.
The nursery is purpose built and is on one level. The building is fully accessible and if needed there is an accessible toilet facility.
We provide multi cultural experiences for all children throughout the year. Children who have any special dietary requirements can be catered for.
Please contact the nursery for place availability. We offer limited 2 year old funded places as well as the 3 / 4 year old nursery education places.
