Mermaids

Mermaids is a support group originally formed in 1995 by a group of parents who were brought together as a result of their children's longstanding Gender Identity Issues. 

Mermaids offer information, support, friendship and shared experiences. They give support for individual young people, with or without support from their families, whether they are out or not. They will try, where possible, to help their families understand and accept their child's gender identity issue. Mermaids will also offer help to family members, professionals and others who are worried about a child or young person.
