Social Lights - Volunteering Project

A new volunteering project aims to support adults in receipt of Adult Social Care through Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council to get out into the community.

The Social Lights project will match individuals to a volunteer buddy who will support them to attend groups or activities of their choice and build self-confidence along the way.

The Project will initially support adults, with Autism and/or Learning Disabilities, to make their own choices on what activities they want to pursue, opening up a range of opportunities. Whether its sports, gaming, art or cinema, there is something for everyone in Stockton.

Volunteers will be matched with a person based on interests and hobbies, aiming to create a great pairing ready to go out and explore community activities, but most importantly have fun!

We are currently looking for volunteers - we don’t require any qualifications or experience for this role and we will provide full training. Whether you are looking for experience in Adult Social Care for future career prospects, or you simple enjoy supporting people to thrive in their community, you can get involved.
