AbilityNet (ICT help for disabled people)
AbilityNet is a registered national charity with over 20 years experience helping people adapt and adjust their information and communications technology (ICT).
AbilityNet offers support in the following way:
- AbilityNet helps disabled adults and children use computers and the internet at home by offering a 'one stop shop' for assistive technology needs
- AbilityNet's education services help students achieve more. Using assistive technologies (AT) improves opportunities and independence for students with SEN, leading to real inclusion
- Most disabled people become disabled when they're at work. AbilityNet aims to ensure that health problems or disabilities can be overcome so as many as possible stay in work. And, as prevention is better than cure, they also work to reduce the health risks associated with IT use that can become disabilities if ignored.
