Local Offer

Here at Prior Pursglove College, staff play an important role in safeguarding the welfare of our students. The college has a Child Protection Policy to ensure that the welfare of the student is always placed at the centre of our activities.

We are also aware of our responsibilities under the Disability Discrimination Act. We will make all reasonable adjustments to facilities and services to ensure that students with a disability are not substantially disadvantaged or treated less favourably than other students who are not disabled. The college is fully accessible to wheelchair users.

We aim to treat everyone equally and with respect, regardless of differences in culture, ability, race, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation or social class. Copies of our Equality and Diversity Schemes are available to download below or can be sent out on request. If you would like a copy of our prospectus or our schemes in a different format or language, please contact Student Services on 01287 280800....

Disability Equality Scheme

The purpose of the Disability Equality scheme is to show how the college intends to promote equality and prevent discrimination against our disabled students, staff and visitors.

In order to help produce such a scheme we would like to actively involve learners, staff and other interested members of the community. If you have a disability or know someone who has and are interested in being involved please either write, email or phone us.

Your comments and views are important to us so please do get in touch. Our reception staff are trained and familiar with the use of type talk and reception points are fitted with hearing loops.  We are happy to receive responses in Braille.
