Children's service provides a nursing and medical service to all children and young people with an identified nursing and medical need in hospital and community settings, supporting and empowering children and young people with acute and long-term conditions. Children's services aim to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and facilitate earlier discharge when possible.

Single side rooms and single clinic rooms are available to maintain privacy and dignity. Play rooms, adolescent room and a range of sensory equipment available. Hoist facilities for children and young people with limited mobility. Orientation on admission and through discussion with the nursing team. Individualised care plans will identify the child/young persons needs.
