Care Quality Commission (CQC) Advice & Information Service

The Care Quality Commission is the independent health and social care regulator for England. They look at the joined up picture of health and social care. Their aim is to ensure better care for everyone in hospital, in a care home and at home.
CQC regulate care provided by the NHS, local authorities, private companies and voluntary organisations. They aim to make sure better care is provided for everyone - in hospitals, care homes and people's own homes and also seek to protect the interests of people whose rights are restricted under the Mental Health Act.
Service users can also provide feedback to the Care Quality Commission.
