E.A.R. Additional Needs Support
E.A.R (Empathy and Resources) has been set up to signpost and offer support to families where an additional need is present, be this diagnosed or not. They aim to offer a support network and advise on services to enable the family to access as much help as required.
All too often parents are struggling with issues like bed wetting, fussy eating, toileting issues, melt downs, social anxiety, behavioural difficulties and many more. E.A.R. want to be the first point of contact when any additional need is identified so that a support system for the parent/carer can be in place through diagnosis and beyond.
As a parent/carer E.A.R.'s founder knows first-hand the impact that additional needs can have on a family and that there is support out there- it’s just finding it.
By meeting other parents it was quickly identified that there is no greater expert in additional needs than the parent/carers themselves, this information when shared helps others to build relationships, support networks and gain coping skills and techniques that can work when everything else has failed. All these factors enable and empower families to make a difference for their child.
