Cancer Advice, Information & Buddy Support Service

This service is available to anyone worried about or diagnosed with cancer living in Hartlepool & Stockton.
Undergoing treatment for cancer can have a big impact on your finances, your ability to work and to maintain your independence. It’s never too early to get some advice so that you know your options and are prepared.
We offer free confidential advice on:
- Welfare benefits
- Debt
- Employment
- Housing
- Energy Advice
- Applying for help towards health costs
Your appointment can be arranged either at the University Hospital of Hartlepool or North Tees, at one of our local community venues or at home if needs be.
We also provide a Buddy Support Service. We can match you up with a volunteer buddy who knows what it’s like to be faced with cancer. Your buddy can support you by attending appointments and talking to you about what will happen.
All of our volunteers have experienced what it’s like to be faced with cancer, are trained and have undergone relevant checks.
