Daisy Chain

Daisy Chain is a unique charity, based in Norton, Stockton-on-Tees, which exists to support families affected by Autism Spectrum Conditions, living within postcodes TS and DL. We provide a wide range of services from our five and a half acre site, offering a welcoming, supportive and attractive environment where parents, children and young people with autism and their siblings, can seek support and have fun.

Description

Activity/Family Days take place on Saturdays and during the school holidays. Families can enjoy our soft play, visit the animals on the farm, the sensory room, cook and engage in lots of other indoor and outdoor activities. Booking is not required. Cost £6 for first child and £3 for each additional child.

 

‘Links’ is our parent/carer support group and meets each Thursday between 10-12 during term time and monthly on Wednesday evenings between 6-7:30. The weekly programme is varied, with interesting speakers and an opportunity for an informal chat with other parents and carers. Booking is not required. A crèche is available and costs £5 for the first child and £2 for subsequent children. It is essential to pre-book a place in the crèche.

 

Daisy Chain runs a number of social groups and ‘Chill and Chat’ youth clubs for children and young people with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition. Places are limited and must be booked. Prices vary. Please call for more information.

 

 

‘Chill Club’ is a short break session, which runs during the holidays for young people aged 12-17 with a diagnosis of Autism. Booking is essential. Costs vary.

‘3-7 club’ and ‘8-11 club’ run during the school holidays. These are short break sessions that are for children of these ages with a diagnosis of Autism. Booking is essential. Costs vary.

 

A fortnightly sibling group (Sibz) runs for young people aged 8-16. Places are limited and must be booked. Please call for more information.

 

A special needs Toddler Group runs each Wednesday mornings during term time, between 9:30-11:30. Cost £5 per family. Booking is not required.

 

Holiday soft play sessions for children with autism and additional needs must be booked. Parents/carers are required to supervise. Cost £6 for the first child and £3 for each additional child.
