Intergenerational Yoga for People with Dementia, Babies & Toddlers - Yarm Wellness Centre

The key to happiness is taking care of yourself, this is true no matter what your age. "Intergenerational yoga" is a unique way of bringing exercise and mindfulness together for people with dementia.
This is done by copying light and relaxing exercises that parents do with their babies, each client will be given a life like doll (if they wish) and paired up with a parent and a baby, so they can do the exercises together. Some parents after the exercises will let clients hold their baby, this can have a truly transformative effect on those taking part.
These basic and simple exercises can help people lead a more positive life with Dementia through the positive promotion of body, mind and spirit. Attending these classes will improve memory, communictation and positive outlook.
The classes are provided by KALMA LIFE every Wednesday from 10am during term time. If you would like to attend please call or send a text message to 07798625564.
