Wild and Kind Childcare


We provide nurturing family-focused care for children early years children in a safe, warm and inspiring environment. Our setting combines play-based learning, outdoor exploration and holistic development to promote independence, confidence and emotional growth. Children enjoy a wide range of activities including creative play, sensory experiences, physical development and early learning tailored to their individual needs. We also teach British Sign Language from a very early age. We provide nutritious home-cooked meals, flexible hours and support for all dietary requirements and abilities. Parents receive regular updates through learning journals, newsletters and daily feedback. At Wild and Kind, every child is valued, supported and encouraged to thrive reach their full potential and develop a lifelong love of learning.

    Cultural provisions:

    At Wild and Kind Childcare we celebrate and respect the diverse backgrounds of all children and families. We provide inclusive activities and learning experiences that reflect a variety of cultures religions and traditions including celebrating different festivals exploring stories from around the world tasting foods from various cultures and introducing children to diverse music art and languages. We also teach British Sign Language to promote communication for all children and ensure inclusion. Our SEND training allows us to adapt activities to meet individual needs so every child feels valued and supported.

    Dietary needs:

    At Wild and Kind Childcare we cater for a wide range of special diets to meet the individual needs of all children. This includes children with food allergies or intolerances vegetarian vegan kosher halal and other dietary requirements. We work closely with parents to understand each child's needs and ensure that all meals and snacks are nutritious safe and appropriate. Our menu is carefully planned to avoid allergens provide balanced nutrition and offer variety and we ensure that children with special diets are included in all mealtime experiences safely.

    English is the main language spoken. We welcome and support children from families who speak other languages at home and incorporate opportunities for them to share and celebrate their home languages in our setting.

    SEND provisions:

    At Wild and Kind Childcare we provide inclusive support for children with special educational needs and disabilities. We adapt activities and our learning environment to meet each child's individual needs and abilities so they can participate safely and meaningfully in all experiences. Myself and my assistant are trained in SEND strategies behaviour management and therapeutic play and work closely with parents carers and external professionals to create personalised care and learning plans and support each child's growth independence and confidence.
